Senior Vice President of Operations and Production
His career spans 32 years in the petroleum industry, where his primary focus has been on the evaluation of oil and gas properties throughout the United States and includes eight years in China. Mr. Ward was in charge of all technical evaluations and gas marketing for Floyd Oil Company from 1986 until the company sold its assets in 1999 and successfully purchased over USD 200 million in oil and gas properties. He has been involved in the evaluation of coalbed methane prospects, primarily in the San Juan and Powder River basins, since 1992.
Mr. Ward's evaluation experience includes oil fields and waterfloods in West Texas, high pressure gas wells in Oklahoma, tight gas production in East Texas, geo-pressured reservoirs in South Louisiana and coalbed methane production in San Juan Basin, Powder River Basin and Arkoma Basin. In addition, he has over 20 years’ experience in petroleum software development and has written numerous programs for use in the evaluation of oil and gas assets.
Mr. Ward previously served as reservoir manager for 3TEC Energy, Vice President of engineering and production for Floyd Oil Company and Senior Vice President of Engineering for Far East Energy. Mr. Ward is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas and has been a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers since 1978.
Dr. Peter Wei
Vice President of Operations
Dr. Wei has over 30 years experiences in the oil & gas industry international. His professional experience includes conventional and unconventional oil and gas, M&A business, exploration & production planning, geological management and operations, geosteering consulting, resources & reserve evaluation, and financial model consulting. He has excellent technical skills and proficient in the application of pertinent geological software.
Peter was the general manager of M&A of BrightOil between 2016 and 2017 and the chief geologist of Far East Energy, PACE and Greka from 2004 to the end of 2010.
Between 2016 and 2017, Peter was appointed as the general manager of M&A, upstream for BrightOil Petroleum (Holding) Ltd. In 2013, he founded MicroPlus Petroleum Consulting Inc. in Alberta with a permit to practice geoscience. Peter is a registered professional geologist in Alberta and is an active member of Society of Petroleum Engineering. He holds a PhD. in oil and gas geology & exploration from the Northwest University in China in 1999.
Vice President of Reservoir Engineering Group
Mr. Cao has more than 26 years of experience in reservoir engineering. His areas of expertise include reservoir simulation, well test, production analysis, reserve estimate, and project economic analysis. Mr. Cao has extensive experience in exploration and development of conventional oil and gas, tight gas, CBM, and oil sands. Mr. Cao holds a M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a M.S. in Applied Statistics from Central South University; he is a professional member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA) in Canada.
Vice President of Enhanced Oil Recovery Business
Jinglu is both a chemical and polymer engineer (TSINGHUA).
He also has master degree level training in Finance (UNIVERSITY of LEICESTER). His career began at Schlumberger and he remained at Schlumberger for 17 years before joining our team.
Mr. Wang’s past positions with Schlumberger include:
WIRELINE FIELD ENGINEER, PRODUCT TECHNICAL ENGINEER, SERVICE QUALITY COACH, FIELD SERVICE MANAGER, TRAINING CENTER INSTRUCTOR, ACCOUNT MANAGER EAST CHINA, LOCATION MANAGER CENTRAL, OPERATION MANAGER OFFSHORE, SERVICE DELIVER MANAGER OFFSHORE.
He has global experience having honed his skills in Norway, Yemen, EAF, UK and China.
It is his EOR design and implementation that are of particular distinction. As Technology Vice President, Mr. Wang is responsible for the start up and subsequent large market share for WellPlus China.
WPC is a highly respected EOR branded company, with annual net revenues in excess of 50M USD.
Vice President of Finance
Ms. Li joins our team after serving as Vice President and Controller for our international energy management firm. Racheline has established and monitored accounting system controls, supervised and performed all financial reporting and management, lead our cash management and banking relations, administered income and severance tax filings, as well as our property and liability insurance matters.
She is an expert in gas market nominations and imbalances, outside owner relations, property tax valuations and protests, construction administration, personnel, payroll and employee benefits, and office lease negotiations. Ms. Li supervised our 10 member accounting department.
Racheline has over twenty years of financial management experience in the energy industry. As an investment manager, she served as an independent director and representative for an investor group (Bechtel) in a $110.25 million private placement and has established personal/business relationships with numerous key people in the Chinese government and energy industry.
Ms. Li holds master level degrees in finance and economics from Ningbo University.
Vice President of Administration
Yanyan Zhang (Mandy) has more than 20 years’ experience in program and administrative management. She joined the COSCO Travel Company in July 1999 first as an Admin Assistant and later to be a Group Manager in Joint-Venture travel agency. During 2003-2006, she had been working in an Australian consulting company and was appointed as an Office Manager based in Beijing. Later in 2006 she was appointed as a Project Officer to the Sustainable Agriculture Development Project of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada stationed in Beijing. She also moved on to be a financial officer for 3 months to close the Project.
Mandy is a highly skilled professional in the areas which include managing administrative staff, guiding operating methods, disbursing funds to departments, monitoring budgets, improving information systems, overseeing human resources requirements, updating senior executives, analyzing financial data, and developing operating procedures and policies. She is uniquely qualified to streamline operations, ensure that administrative functions run smoothly, eliminate wastage, and improve our organization's financial standing through accurate expenditure monitoring and budget forecasting.
VP Corporate Counsel and Corporate Development
Mr. Newburn is Vice President of Corporate Development, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. He is a former executive with American Midstream Partners (NYSE: AMID) responsible for >$2 billion in midstream projects throughout Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Dakota and the Gulf of Mexico.
Ryan is a Skadden-trained M&A and securities attorney with more than $18 billion in completed M&A transactions, has managed greater than $19 billion in completed public and private, debt and equity raises and possess vast experience with the full life-cycle of a company from initial fundraise through IPO and beyond.
Ryan has a JD from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona, an MBA from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona, BA’s in Economics and Philosophy and a BS in Agriculture and Resource Economics from the University of Arizona.
Vice President Oilfield Services
Boyde is called upon to lead, organize, and manage a team of professional consultants (currently 20) drilling, completing & constructing required facilities on oil & gas properties in OK, TX, AR, LA, MS, NM, AZ, KS, NE & WY – including extensive air drilling experience in W. OK & E. AR. His responsibilities also include meeting regularly with essential company personnel reviewing job plans, suggesting changes and organizing procedures and maintaining new and existing accounts by developing strong relationships with clients through integrity and consistent results.
Boyde has managed hundreds of millions of dollars for publicly traded companies while making critical decisions that directly impact the company and all company shareholders – working with industry leaders like Gulf Oil, Statex Petroleum, Oakridge Energy, Cimarex Energy.
Vice President Oilfield Services
Bob’s normal day involves dealing with numerous consultants and engineers 24 hours a day assisting and making vital well-work decisions that have immediate impact on well integrity and also the health and safety off all personnel present. Additionally, Bob is responsible for leading, organizing and managing a team of professional consultants (currently over 25) drilling, completing & constructing essential facilities on oil & gas properties in OK, TX, AR, LA, MS, NM, AZ & KS.
In 2005, Bob was appointed to Eola-Robberson field superintendent for Cimarex Energy and held that position for 8 years. Bob was directly involved in Eola-Robberson field operations for Cimarex from 2005 to 2012. During that time Bob lead, organized and managed a team of professional employees & consultants in drilling, completing & constructing essential facilities on Cimarex (Mid-Continent) oil & gas properties in OK.
He also met regularly with essential company personnel reviewing job plans, advising modifications and organizing plan of attack as well as the development & maintenance of land owner & vendor contacts.
